Detox Too Good

I know I know, you're probably saying, "but Aaron, you just wrote an article about Skepta last week!" You'd be correct by saying this, however I must ask you to please sit back and deal with it, because this song is just too good. Skepta has a special place in my heart lately, and this song only adds more space for him. 

Detox kicks off with some heavy bass and quick hits that get you moving instantly, almost jumpstarting your heart in a way. Skepta tunes in with his ever so recognizeable voice and murders the beat with his vocals. The song itself pays homage to the fact that Skepta never seems to stop. He raps about going to the hills to relax but can't, and often talks about how drugs and alcohol influence his career. The song really paints Skepta as man who never stops partying, rapping, and being a straight up G. 

Detox means, "a process or period of time in which one abstains from or rids the body of toxic or unhealthy substances." This obviously is why the song is titled as such. Skepta is here to prove that drugs, alcohol, and women are his lifestyle, and never stopping is something he's proud of and worked hard to get to. 

With a great beat that moves and bumps, and Skepta's high class style, he's truly out done himself once again with this awesome tune.
